TIWN July 14, 2018

AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha has returned in Agartala today after meeting Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi at New Delhi. Congress State and National leaders on Friday had discussed about Tripura poll strategy at New Delhi for upcoming Lok Sabha Election. Birjit Sinha told TIWN that today afternoon Congress will talk on this particular issue to the media and the pre-poll strategies will be revealed at Agartala Congress Bhawan. However, public's attention is focused on whether in this upcoming Lok Sabha Congress, CPI-M will align or nor. Already CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, CPI-M will align with all parties which are against BJP, but it also depends upon the states according to criteria and need. For example in some states CPI-M may align with Trinamool and in some states may not, but it totally goes to the interest of anti-BJP vote banks. Defeating BJP in Lok Sabha Election will be the sole target of anti-BJP parties.
However, Congress has not said anything yet about alliance, rather the party is busy in joining programmes. Above thousands have joined Congress leaving CPI-M and also few have returned from BJP in Congress.
Overall what will be the decision, today afternoon Congress to declare it before media.
