AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): BJP Govt no more remained clean as tainted officers are taking centrestage of Biplab Deb administration. Once again GSG Ayyangar will be in Tripura, who served in Tripura many years had been transferred at New Delhi as Principal Residence Commissioner Tripura Bhavan has once again called back in Tripura to hold dept of Industry and Commerce as the Principal Secretary. The Industry Dept is under Chief Minister Biplab Deb excluding IT (Information Technology). However, the charges of IT Dept has also been given to Ayyangar along with Handloom, Handicrafts, Sericulture depts, but Ayyangar in CPI-M's time was heavily criticized due RD Dept's rampant scams as he was the Principal Secretary of RD Dept. Corruption allegations got a ground when it's about GSG Ayyangar as the Vigilance & Enforcement (V&E) recommended booking criminal cases against Ayyangar back in 2003 under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The probe was initiated after the government ordered an inquiry into the purchase of 7,002 timer devices at an exorbitant price of Rs 8.12 crore by the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad.

During Manik Sarkar’s time also Ayyangar’s role was under scanner in RD dept and was noticed by central govt for incomplete reports sent to Centre on MGNREGA. 

M Nagaraju who was the Principal Secretary of these depts. has been relieved from the charge.

In a notification by Add Secretary of Govt of Tripura Santosh Das on behalf of Govt of Tripura, has announced this today.
