AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): Keeping the flag off programme ahead, Agartala-Deoghar express’s inauguration is on peak. Dais is being set for the historical programme which will be marked in the presence of Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal on July 6. Although the train will be flagged off from Agartala on July 6, its regular service will begin from July 14. The train was one of BJP's pre-election assurances to assist thousands of devotees of Anukul Thakur to visit their holy place at Deoghar. The Express train will cover a distance of 1,473 km in 39 hours.This Express to be also a part of tourism industry as a good numbers of passengers are expected to travel to Deoghar for religion purposes. Deoghar is a holy city beside the Mayurakshi River, in the east Indian state of Jharkhand.

The ancient Baba Baidyanath Temple complex is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. Nearby, Shiv Ganga is a sacred pool where devotees of Shiva bathe. There is a shrine to Krishna in the ornate, stone-carved Naulakha Mandir temple. Northeast of town, Harila Jori is the site of a whitewashed Shiva temple and a sacred water tank. With the launching of new express, a good numbers of passengers are expected to travel via Deoghar Express.

Right now Tripura has Tripura Sundari Express, Rajdhani, Humsafar Express, Kanchanjunga Express.
