AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): "Unemployment" issue turning more critical and intolerant in state as the unemployed youths left hardly any other option than to hold meeting or to gather somewhere to meet Chief Minister by ‘hook and crook’ for Jobs. In a painful surprise to unemployed youths hoping for Police jobs, huge Police force clamped down heavily after innocent job aspirants who are fighting for various issues of their recruitment since 2017. Police stood by law that the gathering was not allowed without proper permission and asked the youths to leave Umakanta stadium which is located near CM's residence, where they were holding a meeting initially with the hope to meet CM.

However protesters were not aware that CM was out of station. Heavy Police force warned them to leave protesters from Umakanta Stadium within 10 minutes as it was without permission.

After 10 minutes protesters left the place and gathered at Astabal Stadium. But instead handling it diplomatically and pacifying, the Police force (which still CPI-M cadre officials controlled) tried to arrest them whereas many escaped from the spot.

Earlier also legal actions were taken against many protesters who are B.Ed students. The legal action was taken after they protested in front of Secretariat demanding to meet Education cum Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath and Chief Minister.

Such abnormal steps by CPI-M cadre or CPI-M sympathetic police officials showing intolerance may suppress the voice but can’t gain vote banks in upcoming Lok Sabha election and also a ‘hatred’ is being created among the unemployed youths proving as a ‘cold blooded suppression ’ of BJP’s votebank in Democracy.

2017’s interview passed out total 1451 youths have once again demanded appointments of them as police constables who passed in interviews in 2017.

The job aspirants said, the new recruitment policy is not applicable to them as their interviews were done in 2017.

The job aspirants came to meet Chief Minister Biplab Deb today but due to CM’s Delhi visit, they couldn’t meet him.

But the simple, silent meeting have been turned as a ‘tension-situation’ in the capital city with miking, arrests and unnecessary hyperactive attitude of the police.

Tripura has 8 lakh unemployed youths and through unemployed youths votes only BJP came in power but many CPI-M cadre police officials committing excess which likely to damage BJP’s popularity.
