AGARTALA / SONAMURA, July 3 (TIWN): Amid much boasting about police’s cyber-intelligence, Cyber-cell, Women's Safety, Chief Minister Biplab Deb led Home Ministry yet to fix state police. Even after filing FIR with criminal’s name and identity who is using a girl’s fake profile with her private pictures and continues blackmailing her, police have not taken any action against the accused. The incident took place at Sonamura, under Sepahijala District in Tripura. The victim is a resident of Sonamura NC Nagar whose private and edited pictures are being continuously released by Ibrahim Khalil, S/O- Mamtaz Mia, resident of Srimantapur area in Sonamura. Ibrahim was in relation with her many years back, but due to Ibrahim’s arrogance and unpleasant attitudes, her family members were not ready to accept him as son-in-law. She was given marriage with another boy at Durgapur, but Ibrahim also broken her marriage after three years by telling bad things against her to her husband.

Ibrahim is already married, has a child but still he is day night maligning her image by posting unpleasant pictures of her in her fake account.

Even after lodging FIR, police has not arrested anybody till day led the family to inform everything to media.

Even though at Police Headquarter, suddenly police are showing interest to tackle cyber crime, but across the state in front of police by using social media girls, women are facing embarrassing situations each day but there is no hurry among police to take immediate action to save victim girls. 

Using social media as tools, the criminals are using facebook, whatsApp openly but the administration is not at all interest to take any action, before they come in media limelight. It proves once again the necessity of media, which was and will be the considered as the ‘Fourth Pillar of Democracy” used to awake the corrupt administration when necessary.
