AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Sunday while addressing in a blood donation camp conducted by BJP Mohila Morcha said a girl shouldn’t be asked to offer ‘pranams’ as Goddess stays inside them till then.

“Never send your daughter to touch elders’ feet. After she is matured and 18 years, this practice can be held”, CM said.

“After 18 years girls are not worshipped. In our culture also, it’s seen that only little girls are taken for kumari puja”, CM told Mohila Morcha.

“Most importantly, girls who are below 12-13 years they should never being ever asked to seek blessing by touching feet of the elders”, CM added.
