AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): At least one died, two are critical after angry mob in West District of Tripura have beaten three persons heavily suspecting them as child traffickers. The incident took place at Sedhai Murabari area under West District, after local people had beaten them heavily in suspects of 'child traffickers'. After being attacked by locals, they went inside TSR camp at there but the angry mob in huge numbers rushed into the TSR camp and stretched them outside of the camp and beaten them. Sidhai Mohonpur Police at 2 pm said, the numbers of deaths can not be confirmed yet but to control the situation huge numbers of police led by O/C-incharge Bijay Sen along with West District High officials including IG Law and Order K V Sreejesh have reached the spot. Three of them were heavily beaten and one already died on spot. Tear gases were thrown, lathi charge had to do to bring the angry mob under control. Wood-logs were created on road which created hurdles for police to arrive at the spot.

Despite police's warning, common people once again has taken Law & Order in hand leading to disaster. Minister Ratan Lal Nath first started the rumour mill by blaming outer state organ-smugglers behind ‘Kidney’ theft of a little boy Purna Biswas murder but the fact is no kidney was stolen from victim boy’s body. Jahir Khan of UP has been killed, whereas Guljar Khan of Bihar and Khurshid Khan of Bihar were injured. The driver Swapan Mia of Agartala has also been minorly injured. 

Mob fury, attack on accused traffickers raising questions on role of Police administration. Irrespective of various reasons, frequent murders damaging BJP Govt’s image as lawless era fear prevailing upon masses.
