AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): ‘Congress should beg mercy in each 26th June for Indira Gandhi led emergency’, says BJP National spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz today at Agartala.
BJP National spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz in his one day visit in Tripura said, in each 26th June Congress should beg forgiveness on behalf of Indira Gandhi who imposed an unnecessary emergency in India.
“Gandhi’s Emergency can’t be understood unless and until one has seen it or experienced it”, Syed Shahnawaz said at BJP Office.
When BJP is observing Black Day to mark the emergency imposing of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Congress President Birjit Sinha said, “Indira Gandhi imposed emergency and I can’t blame the decision of public which unseated Congress on that time. I just want to say, it was for the necessity of that time but when BJP is remembering 43 years old incident, what they will say about PM Modi’s Govt which turned white moneys into black in last 4-years ?”
“In the name of demonetization, BJP has looted the public money, whereas their own black moneys turned white”, Birjit Sinha told TIWN.
However, CPI-M State Secretary on behalf of CPI-M has also condemned 43 years old Emergency-era.
