AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): CPI-M MP Jitendra Choudhury on Saturday said, BJP Govt’s budget even though lacks the larger section of people’s interest but there are certain positive sides too in the budget as hiking of SC, ST stipends, decision of building new B.Ed Colleges are welcomed.
“Those are the important decisions BJP Govt has taken but unfortunately there was no mention about the total road-map to fulfill the Vision Document which BJP had promised before the Election”, Jiten Choudhury told TIWN.
“I have not gone in details of their budget yet but as I learnt from newspapers, at the primary level, the Vision Document was not seen in this budget, neither the budget has any concrete developmental roadmap”, he said.
In a separate talk CPI-M Ex-Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha said, “BJP Vision Document had laid many promises. But there is nothing in the budget. However, for social pension there was mention about Rs. 300 crores in the budget which is good but they can not give Rs. 2000 per person with that limited budget. According to me, only 7th Pay Commission will be so far possible but again it has doubt how far it will be possible to benefit the employees and pensioners fully.....as what they will give and what they will not give it's unknown yet”.
Noteworthy, Tripura Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma has announced on the first day of state Assembly (June 19) that total four numbers of B.Ed Colleges will be established in Tripura in coming days. Out of those four B.Ed Colleges, two will be dedicated for only girl students and rest will be combined. The Finance Minister also announced to hike the stipend for SC, ST students.
