Agartala, June 22 (TIWN): On Thrusday, 21st June,2018 7th Battalion TSR(IR-VI) has observed their 19th Raising day at Bn HQr, Jampuijala.

The programe was has inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Kulwant Singh,IPS, SP (Sepahijala) Tripura. Guest of honour were Commandant 1st & Commandant 11th Bn TSR .

The programe followed by blood donation and plantation at Bn HQr, Jampuijala by all guests / dignitaries. In welcome address Commandant, 7th Bn TSR(IR-VI) , Pradip Majumdar,IPS discussed the overall achievement and paying tribute to the Martyr's of the unit.

In the Thrusday afternoon there was a friendly football match between Jampuijala 11 Vs TSR 11 . At evening a cultural programme by TSR wards and kids in a befitting manner. This unit was started on 21st June of 2000. 21 jawans were laid their lives fighting with extremists during insurgency. 05 persons received President Police Medal for Meritorious Service, 01 person received President Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG), 03 persons received Chief Ministers Medal and 35 persons received DGPS Commendation Disc also till date.    

At morning they have also observed International day of yoga at  its unit HQr and 21 outlaying posts, further 150 personnel were attended in State Level Yoga Day observance at Khumulwng Stadium.
