Rs 16,387 crores budget placed in Assembly on first Day : 14 % hiked than previous year

AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): Deputy Chief Minister cum Tripura Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma on Tuesday has placed a budget of Rs. 16,387 crores, with a hike of 14 % than the last financial year.

Around thousand crores have been kept for 7th pay commission giving a signal that Tripura Govt will surely allocated 7th Pay Commission for its govt employees.

To reduce the corruption tendency by state govt employees and officers or tender-holders, Tripura BJP Govt has decided to introduce a total cashless transaction in govt sectors, so that each transaction stays recorded.

“Our Govt believes in transparency and for the sake of a clean-government cashless transactions need to be motivated”, Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma announced this in the Assembly.

The new govt has also spotted various irregularities in recruitment as in total 1267 numbers of contractual employees in various govt depts. have been found unauthorized by the Finance Dept.
