AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday has announced, NCERT syllabus to be introduced from this fresh academic session-2018.

Nath was attending a meeting conducted by SCERT to confirm new syllabus should be introduced in Tripura School syllabus from this upcoming session.

While addressing media, Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, "Tripura has been lagging behind in Education quality and as a results students are unable to face competition at National level. Thus without any delay, we are going to introduce NCERT from this year".

Minister also said, translation works are going on as NCERT books are totally based on Hindi and English.
