AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): CPI-M era spies, close coterie of Manik Sarkar fully thriving on corruption empire in Tripura University. Communist Vice Chancellor Anjan Ghosh & gang siphoned off crores of money in the name of E-Book Project. Anjan Ghosh extremely close with former CM Manik Sarkar, former Chief Secretary Sanjay Panda so it’s no surprise that corrupt VC hired a notorious deal broker under the garb of PR & Media Consultant Post at Rs 70000/- per month. After VC’s appointment of an outsider private individual Manas Pal into University Media Consultant’s Post, Tripura University’s organized corruption propelled high at the cost of thousands of students suffering. Wednesday’s insult of Minister Ratan Lal Nath is no exception as VC Anjan Ghosh was scared after Governor Tathagata Roy’s bold speech mentioning indirectly Tripura University’s corruption in past few years.

Corrupt VC Anjan Ghosh and his right hand man  ‘PR Consultant’ Manas Pal and team insulted Education Minister by not allowing his speech at convocation on Wednesday.
Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s name was deleted  from the list, later added for formality after Chief Guest Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s speech.
Then as soon as Ratan Lal Nath began his speech a person told him to stop his speech due to protocol breaking, as after Chief Guest’s speech nobody can deliver speech.
Basically Ratan Lal Nath was intentionally insulted by the Tripura University VC Anjan Ghosh and his right hand ‘PR Consultant’ Manas Pal due to fear of corruption exposure by Minister after Governor Tathagata Roy’s bold speech hitting VC Anjan Ghosh.

This whole programme was allegedly arranged to suppress the corruption related histories held inside the University under Anjan Kumar Ghosh's Vice Chancellorship. The E-Book scam worth Rs. 10 crore was one of the major scams left without proper investigation till day, whereas appointing of non-teaching staffs illegally was the most shocking media coverage before one year. Anjan Kumar Ghosh appointed many private employees, media persons illegally as advisers led mass furies among University staffs back in 2017.

Not only this, once the VC stopped lunches for the professors saying 'It's wastage of money'. Today ahead of Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu's arrival leading newspapers of the state have reacted sharply against the Vice President's dais sharing with the corrupt VC, demanding proper investigation in E-Book scam.

Under this Vice Chancellor, Tripura University downed from 88th to 196th position in ranking on the basis 'quality'.

In 2017 an audit team of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) had inspected records to verify the charges brought against the VC, but the investigation didn't not end satisfactorily amid senior professors continuous claims about the ongoing corruptions.

Ghosh illegally appointed various  non-teaching staffs depriving his own Universities qualified employees, but due to his advisers by manipulating media power the VC is going to take retirement spotlessly.

Moreover, while addressing at the convocation ceremony, Governor Tathagata Roy said, “It’s quite surprising, why there was no convocation in last 5 years ? It means all is not well in this University. Something, which you didn’t want to bring before the press, may be that was the reason as a convocation should be a continuous process”.

After it was proven that the whole programme as an organized programme by the corrupt gang, the whole state is splitting on the Tripura University heads. The matter has been taken to MHRD.
