AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister cum Power Minister Jishnu Debbarma met the Union Power Minister R. K. Singh at new Delhi on Thursday, talked on various crucial issues centering the power connectivity.
The discussion among both the Power Ministers of Centre and State revealed that Saubhagya scheme should be connected with more 141625 households in Tripura and fund is urgently needed for the procurement of materials.
Union Minister assured, fund for this project to be released at the earliest.
Deputy CM also raised demand to decrease of rate of power purchased from Bongaigaon thermal power plant in order to reduce tariff burden on consumer.
It was also said by the state Minister that power line of 132kv from Ambasa to Ganacherra is on hold due to the clearance of funds from the Centre.
Union Minister also assured the matter will be expedited and cleared on high priority basis
R K Singh on May 2nd had visited Tripura and inaugurated Saubhagya scheme at Pragna Bhawan.
