AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): CPI-M’s cry begins after party offices demolitions in Agartala Motor Stand. At least 10 to 12 party offices of the trade unions were demolished today after the offices were served with notices before 7 days. Today the demolition drive under West DM Millind Ramteke has begun, whereas in next few days the actions to be continued till the last number of the illegally built party offices' list. But following the party offices demolition built over govt lands, CPI-M has claimed that in such union offices the passengers used to spent times and used them their resting place. However in last 25 years, instead of allowing passengers to take rest inside their party offices, the passengers-shed at Nagerjala and various other places were occupied by CITU and trade unions, but today CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Datta and CPI-M Ex-Minister Manik Dey both have claimed that those party offices which have been bulldozed were used by passengers to take rest under the shed.

After the demolition of various party offices and shops built over Govt lands, CPI-M Ex-Minister Manik Dey, MP Shakar Prasad Datta visited the spot, slamming the BJP Govt as ‘Undemocratic’. On the other side, Congress have gheraoed the DM Office, protesting against the movement of the BJP Govt as many Congress party offices also came under bulldozing. Manik Dey told media, “The situation is worse than emergency time as in emergency time also they didn’t break this party office".

"In emergency time, police came to take action, but after our request, they didn’t take action. Today under the BJP Govt without giving any proper time and notice, they are demolishing party offices and that's what the BJP Govt is", Manik Dey said. 

One party wing ‘Indian National Trade Union Congress’ calling a press conference said that amid Court’s restriction DM asked the workers to bulldoze the offices, which is also an insult of the court order. 

Tripura Congress Chief Birjit Sinha called Biplab Deb as ‘Gyan Papi’, crossed ‘Nayak’ movie hero's role played by Anil Kapoor.

However, West DM Millind Ramteke said, “Already via press conferences, I made it clear before 7 days.  On 3rd May through newspapers also we reminded the political parties about it. We also served them notices before bulldozing”. I

It was warned by West DM before 7 days to remove the party offices which have been constructed on Govt lands and accordingly the administration has taken action on Monday. Atleast 10 such party offices were bulldozed today morning and similar drives will be taken place in many other places where party offices have been constructed over govt lands.

DM Millind Ramteke also said, such movements will be continued in coming days.
