AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Taking advantage of the villagers’ faith in superstitions and myths, a fraud ‘Sadhu’ or ‘Baba’ has taken away all the Jewellery from a housewife.

The Baba came 2 days back in Srikanta Rishi Das’s house in Aralia boosting that he can double the gold with God’s blessings.

He took the jewelleries from the family and kept those in a bowl and a snake was shown by the him (Baba) for some ‘puja’.

The ‘Sadhu’ tightened the bowl saying after two days when they will open it, double gold will be found at there, but when today they opened the bowl, an alive snake was found led the family shocked and scared.

Police have taken the complaint but no villager could mention the Baba’s name neither they could provide any hint about the fraud-Baba.
