AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister cum Power Minister Jishnu Debbarma on the occasion of launching of Saubhagya Scheme by Union Minister R K Singh said that this project is an example of Modi Govt’s Sab-ka-Sath, Sab-ka-Bikas policy.
“I was overwhelmed to see the happiness of the people who never imagined that they will get powers in their houses in this manner”, Deputy CM said.
“Earlier they were only the consumers who were felicitated with power. But now things have been changed. Our Prime Minister has actualized the dreams of poor people and the power corporation is now in front of each door”, Debbarma said.
“The Saubhagya Scheme is revolutionary step which has connected power to all houses of the country”, he added.
“In Tripura we are doing a great good job. I spoke to the Central Minister and he has assured us, whatever help we will need he will help us”, he said.
“Now all we have to do is fulfill the target. Already we have expanded 15,700 connectivity to households. It may be a small number in compare to other states but if you look at the ratio, Tripura’s progress is lot in power connectivity", the Deputy CM said.
