AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): A huge amount fund yet to be sanctioned by the Central Govt under the ongoing irrigation scheme and Tripura CM has demanded for faster sanctioning of the fund.
"Project proposal for gap funding ongoing minor irrigation schemes for an amount of Rs 84.10 crore, sent to the Government of India in 2016-2017 for sanction, which is still awaited", Chief Minister Biplab Deb said in a statement.
Referring various pending balances, on yesterday CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, "Chief Minister Biplab Deb's speech itself has proven the deprivation under the Central BJP Govt".
However there are many similar funds which are pending since years, even though BJP Govt at Centre earlier mentioned as the then CPI-M Govt failed to send utilization certificate at Delhi, thus the fund under various schemes were slashed or postponed.
