AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): Tripura Congress leader Ex-MLA Gopal Roy, who was defeated by BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb at Banamalipur constituency in Assembly election, today in a public rally has hit the BJP Govt for the first time after the election for its one-month's performance. Gopal Roy was addressing in "Upabas Diwas", a nation wide fasting-protest programme called by Congress allover the Country against the Narendra Modi government and non-functioning of the Parliament during the recently concluded Budget session. Gopal Roy said, "Country has seen four years of Jumla Modi, now suddenly from somewhere Biplab Deb came and promised various impossible things before the election. Out of 60 months in 5 years, 1 month is gone but when media asked about his experience as CM, Biplab Deb said, "It's just a 1-month's govt ! But I want to say that in one month Tripura people have gotten a big Hoshho-Dimbo (Duck's egg)", the Congress leader added.
"Before the election they said, in each house they will provide jobs, youths will get smartphones, girls will get scooty. Now everyone is observing what they are doing, who hoped that immediately after the election they will get it. After all, he is "Baiplabik-Biplab" (Revolutionary), but what happened to the Revolutionary ?", Roy said.
One month has gone, but in last 48 months the way Central Govt led by Modi ji has betrayed the nation, in the same way Biplab Deb will betray the unemployed youths and fool the poor people", Gopal Roy said.
"If you look across the country the conditions are same. Gujarat's condition everybody knows, where Congress have given a tough time to BJP in the last election", the Congress leader said.
Gopal Roy also mentioned about Rs. 33,000 crore's land donation to 'Nano' plant by Narendra Modi's govt during his chief ministry at Gujarat.
