AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): Whereas BJP Govt before coming in power had promised Rs. 2000 will be the minimum allowance for the people, Tripura CPI-M Ex-CM Manik Sarkar claimed BJP's promises as ‘bluffs’. “Left Govt never promised lies like them. We didn’t promise which we can’t fulfill. Indeed, we couldn’t bluff like them and that’s the difference between left and other parties lies”, Manik Sarkar said in an online address. The CPI-M leader also claimed that his govt spent for Tripura much more than the allocated budget.

“600 crores were in our budget, whereas we spent 13000 crores. BJP bluffed about minimum wages, whereas in Central Govt’s scheme not a single penny was increased under the BJP-govt”, Manik Sarkar said.

“In pensions also, central govt was giving 200 rupees, whereas we were adding 500 extra. 30 pensions among 33 were given by the state govt, but BJP promised that once it comes in power, it will immediately increase the allowance to Rs. 2000. I din't know how they will actualize all big promises. This was the way through which they tried to divert the people in Tripura”, Manik Sarkar told media.

"BJP Govt at Centre before 4 years (ahead of election) promised about 2 crores of jobs per year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had promised that, but what happening the rate of unemployed youths are increasing. Whereas it was said that unemployed youths need not to think about the job opportunities, rather job will come to them, but after the BJP Govt came now those who were in jobs, they are also losing their jobs", Sarkar added.

However, what the CPI-M leader didn’t mention it is in CPI-M’s era either in job recruitment or beneficiary selection, everywhere partiality and cadre-raj, cheating led the resentment among public. Not only this, all corrupted and tainted people were CPI-M’s most trustable person, which was the chief reason of their govt’s major fall in 2018's election.
