AGARTALA / GOLAGHATI, April 5 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma today in a felicitation programme at Golaghati said, "People have changed the govt. The 'Cholo-Paltai' slogan doesn't exist anymore, as public has finally changed it. But now it's the time to bring socio-economic changes in this state. Our state is lagging behind and far from development following a long CPI-M regime". "People have voted against the CPI-M keeping lots of hopes upon BJP. We have to go closed to people and know about their problems. If we all work together, nobody can stop Tripura from becoming a model state", he said.Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma was addressing in a felicitation programme at Golaghati conducted from MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma and also for the Deputy Chief Minister.

"Our govt is not negative, rather it's a positive govt. Whatever we will do, it will be transparent. What previous govt has done, it's not our fault. Time to time, we will announce the decisions via press releases", he added.

Noteworthy, Recently in few interactions with media Jishnu Debbarma repeatedly said said, "The Left Govt was expending at its own wish without any balance maintenance. The economy is mostly suffering due to non-plan expenditures". However the Govt has found 3 ways to shape the economy which are : 1) Balanced Expenditure, 2) Revenue Generation, 3 ) Asking Central Govt for help etc.

“The previous Govt has given us nothing, rather it has burdened the 38 lakhs people under debts but BJP Govt will never give up. Even though they left hills of works upon us, but we will fulfill all promised works", said Debbarma.

“In the name of Infrastructures the previous Govt created just structures, hollow buildings instead of road constructions. The huge buildings have nothing inside them, we have to build up the infrastructure there. From roadway to Health service all left in pathetic shape. But we have to fulfill our mission and for that we need everyone’s cooperation and Govt employees have to take a lead role in that", he added.
