AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): Tripura Govt will give report cards to its Ministers on every 100 days reviewing their performances on that tenure. In an address before Tripura press persons at Agartala Press Club Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced that. The aim of the report card will to generate competition among the Ministers. “I want to address my Minister through this dais to perform at their best, as govt is preparing for 100 days performance report card, which will be shared with publicâ€, said Biplab Deb. “It’s not like that we are totally dependent upon the central fund, but the central govt is helping at its full as Tripura is suffering from negative balances. Right now we need centre's help to develop Tripura. We will set work-projects for each dept, which will present the 100 days work report. The Govt is working on that missionâ€, he said. “Everyone has to work in timebound manner and there should be also competition among the Ministers of the state too in their performancesâ€, he said.
“Huge central funds are not needed everytime if a state govt can implement the central schemes properly. We have come in power with working motive. We want to work. If the central schemes can be implemented properly then nobody can stop Tripura to emerge as a model state”, CM told journalists.
“Earlier DoNER Ministry funded as per 90 : 10 fund sharing with states, but now with Rs. 4500 crores funding DoNER Ministry is bearing the full budget of Northeast”, CM said.
“Total Rs. 500 crore was sanctioned and Tripura has got Rs. 350 crores out of that. I will bring more funds for the state but among all the states we have received the highest recently from PM's fund. Now, everybody has to perform and non performing Ministers will not be tolerated”, the Chief Minister said.
