AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): CPI-M’s corrupt land dealing with various parties who paid hefty donations to Melarmath CPI-M HQ now again coming to limelight after Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced on March 29 that BJP Govt will seize all the illegally distributed lands by Manik’s CPI-M Govt. Dr Om Tantia, MD of ILS Hospital not only close with CPI-M but allegedly donated huge sums to CPI-M Party in exchange of crores of benefits. The sources claimed that in collaboration of CPI-M & Govt officials has provided a cash of Rs.20 crore to ILS hospital and when it comes to the development of the government hospital the authority is silent.Reportedly, on 16-Jul-2015 under check number 878275, Tripura government in collaboration with CPI-M & Govt officials has given an amount of Rs.20, 68, 82,890 to ILS Hospital, (Prop-GTP Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.). ILS Hospital not only got free land beside State Secretariat but got Rs 20 crores money but how much cash CPI-M benefitted need a full investigation.

On the one hand, poor condition has hit the government run hospitals in the State in last 25 years, and the CPI-M government was busy in paying crores of money to the private run hospital in Tripura.  Tripura Health Service deeroriated due to the poor service at the government hospital and instead of improving the condition of government hospital the Manik Sakrar was busy in giving huge amount of money to the ILS hospital.

The condition of the government hospitals is paralysed and In case, patient requires immediate treatment, the government hospitals do not have ventilators or oxygen masks. Only limited masks and ventilators are available on the hospitals and for immediate treatment.

Its dysfunctional public health system continues to pose a grave threat to the health of Indian patients.

The government run hospitals in Tripura are outdated, understaffed, and not hygienic. Patients in public hospitals frequently sleep two to a bed. Hospitals have low supplies of medical devices, forcing many patient families to buy their own. Some families have claimed to spend up to several thousand of their own money on medical supplies. In addition, many of the hospital supplies are not properly sanitized. Hence, bacterial contamination is prevalent and the government does not take any initiative for the betterment of the hospitals.

Manik Sarkar's right hand man cum former Transport Secretary Kishore Ambuly's appointment as CEO of ILS Hospital by Dr Om Tantia signalled the dark nexus of prime land allotments and crores of money transactions.

BJP Govt must force ILS Hospitals to pay the ACTUAL price of prime land and return Rs 20 crores Govt money - begin a full scale investigation.
