AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): A new twist in Tripura Politics, as ruling BJP has demanded immediate arrest of CPI-M MLA Bhanu Lal Saha with drug-business accusation. In a press conference in the afternoon, BJP MLA Ratan Chakraborty said, "Following the reports in the our state committee meeting, we have found very unholy signal, which is killing Tripura's law and order. In the last 25 years of regime, CPI-M have attacked the young generation with drugs and the leaders themselves are involved in those activities". "Not only arms and ammunition were found in CPI-M offices but from there heavy quantity of drugs have been recovered and Bishalgarh party office was one of them. On yesterday in the presence of CPI-M MLA Bhanu Lal Saha at Bishalgarh phensedyl stocks were recovered. Thus, BJP in demand of immediate arrest of Bhanu Lal Saha will launch protest rallies tomorrow across the 'mandals' (areas) followed by public meetings".

BJP leader Pratima Bhowmik said, "When police raided at Boxonagar CPI-M Party Office, they found Acid, Petrol, Diesel from there. Can you believe it?"

Ratan Chakraborty further said, "We want to create a Tripura which will be addiction-free, drug-free and govt has to take action against it".

Media further raised question, whether BJP on yesterday gheraoed Bhanu Lal Saha in the Bishalgarh party office or not. In reply, Pratima Bhowmik said, "He was not allowing police to continue searches. We just gheraoed and police took its own action".

On yesterday, Bhanu Lal Saha in the Assembly asked BJP Govt, not to threat CPI-M with Rose Valley like issues, better they should call CBI right now.

Noteworthy, Bhanu lal Saha also alleged, BJP is not allowing CPI-M to hold rallies. Replying CPI-M's allegation, Pratima Bhowmik said, "In that rally sticks, rods were more in number than the flags and thus we had to interrupt".
