AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): After Ratan Lal Nath expressed his anger against CPI-M Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, it was expected that after the lunch a heavy debate may spark among the both rival leaders in the Assembly. But smartly Manik Sarkar has reminded the Minister and his colleagues that it’s time for work and action, rather than blaming the past govt. Even though MLLA Ramendra Ch. Debnath became angry at a certain point expressing his resentment and doubt on the ‘unexpected results’ of the election, but Manik Sarkar’s tone was different. Sarkar mildly kept on reminding BJP Govt about their vision Document.“In this situation when the Govt is very new, I can’t speak much. But it should be kept in mind that during elections, politicians say many things, which should be forgotten now. This a time for work”, said Sarkar.“But after the election our party offices were burnt, people were attacked and till day the situation is not normal; a tense situation is going on allover the state", Sarkar added

“I request the Chief Minister to restore the peace as this is not a govt of a particular party but it’s a govt of people. What Governor said in his speech on March 23rd, I thank him for that. Via Governor’s speech the next 5 year’s plan of the state govt is understandable. But it’s not a 1 year budget. After few days a budget will be placed in the Assembly and till then we have to wait”, said Sarkar.

“Why do you think we will not support the govt ? We will fully support your govt and if there is a gap between the promised words and works, we will surely mention it, but not in destructive way, but in constructive way”, he said.

Sarkar also mentioned that without Centre’s help it’s tough for a govt like Tripura to run the administration but now it can be hoped as both the govts in state and centre are same and things will be done soon, including funding issues.
