AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN):Tripura Chief Justice during the 5th anniversary of Tripura High Court demanded more judges in Tripura High Court and infrastructural development in the legal offices of the state.
"Eventhough pending cases numbers downed from 7000 to 2000 in last 5 years, but due to lack of judges the works are becoming tough and also slow", he said,
Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi said, "Tripura High Court must form a Vision Document for next 20 years and to solve all cases including the person standing in the end of the row. We justices will come and go, but the vision document will stay. It's important to look back at last 5 years achievements and to plan about next 5 years".
However, the judge demanded more judges in the High Court and adequate infrastructure across Courts. The Chief Justice also criticized the infrastructural poor shapes of Gomati, Unakoti and North Dist's Courts.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb mentioned that state govt with the help of central govt will do its best to fulfill all the requirements to upgrade Tripura's legal structure.
"Our Govt believes in transparency and we have full faith on the justice system too. Both the Govt and justice collaborately would take action against all corrupt officials in coming days", Chief Minister said.
