'This is the day of 36 lakhs people of Tripura' : Tripura CM

AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): BJP State President Biplab Deb has taken oath as the new Chief Minister of Tripura at 12.5 pm today in the presence of top BJP leaders including L K Advani, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. After oath taking while Biplab Deb was addressing the gathering he thanked PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, L K Advani. Deb has also thanked the 36 lakhs people of Tripura saying, "It's a day of them". The swearing-in programme had begun at Assam Rifles ground in Agartala at 12 PM today. Governor Tathagata Roy has administered the oath to the CM, Deputy CM and Ministers. National BJP President Amit Shah said, "This is a historical day and from today Tripura will go through a new direction... a movement of development will come. I believe the way PM Modi is concerned for Northeast's development, our new leaders will also equally work with the same mission".

12.29 PM : Pranajit Singha Roy takes oath as Minister,

12.22 PM : Manoj Kanti Deb takes oath as Minister,

12.24 PM : Mebar Kumar Jamatia (IPFT) takes oath as Minister,

12. 27 PM: Smt Santana Chakma takes oath as Minister,
Other names have not been announced yet........ shortly BJP will announce them.

12. 33 PM : Ex-CM Manik Sarkar left dais,

13. 40 PM : Biplab Deb addresses mass thanks 16 lakhs people of Triputra,

12. 45 PM: Amit Shah said, 'Under Modi Govt the Northeast is developing than ever before. I belive Biplab Deb will run Tripura with hieight of development'.

12.48 PM : Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his speech in Kokborok, followed by Hindi... 'This is a diwali', says PM Modi.

1.10 PM :  PM Modi ends his speech in Bengali,  "Finally you have changed"... "Apnara-Paltei-Dilen".
