TIWN March 6, 2018
AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): Central BJP has given preference to the purely BJP leaders for the highest posts of the state cabinet, rather than Congress-via-Trinamool-via-BJP leaders. Eventhough Jishnu Debbarma was once in Congress, but he joined BJP before a decade and since then, Debbarma has been working with BJP, was also very closed to former President of Tripura BJP Ex-President Lt. Sudhindra Dasgupta. BJP leader Jishnu Debbarma was the first to discover the idea of State Council for tribals instead of ADC and separate land. On the other side, the would be Chief Minister Biplab Deb is rooted in RSS and BJP, whereas his upbringings were at Udaipur of Gomati Tripura. Biplab Deb is a strong opponent of land-division and terms as 'Bhumi Putra'. In this situation BJP's decision has been impartial in all way, giving opportunity to an overall development of the state across hills and plain areas valuing both Tribal and Bengali sentiments.
BJP has also formed a combination of Bengali and Tribal leaders for the topmost position of the cabinet. Following the meeting Biplab Deb went to Raj Bhawan to meet the Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy demanding to form the next Govt in Tripura.
Noteworthy, Jishnu Debbarma and Biplab Deb are the BJP leaders who since their early political careers have been in BJP.
This year Jishnu Debbarma is a candidate for Charilam Assembly, where the election has been postponed due to CPI-M candidate's death. On March 12 the election will be conducted.
Biplab Deb, also the party president of Tripura BJP is a winner candidate of Banamalipur.
