AGARTALA, August 27 (TIWN) - Trinamool Congress on Wednesday submitted deputation to the Governor Mr.P.B. Acharya against various demands under the leadership of State Convener Ratan Chakraborty.
Mr. Chakraborty informed that today a seven member delegation meets the Governor and raises demands against various current issues. The prominent issues among them were the detoriation of the law and justice of the State, employees deprivation, torture on women, unemployment , health, education etc. Talking elaborately Mr. Chakraborty informed that the employees of Tripura State were deprived of various grade pays decided by the 14th Finance Commission because of the various lacings of the ruling Government of the State. While other states of India were benefited by this. On the other hand women are tortured every day at home, working places respectively. On State’s health condition He told that the CPIM Government turned a deaf ear and people were put to death by malaria and other dangerous diseases.
Convener Mr. Chakraborty however expressed gratitude that Governor had given assurance to solve the matters and Mr.Acharya himself expressed dissatisfaction over the condition of the Reang Refugees of Kanchanpur sub-Division under North Tripura District. He told that there insufficiency in health, education, environment etc. Governor also assures to look the matter after returning from Nagaland.
