AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy while addressing at Assam Rifles ground on 69th Republic Day said that without Northeast's development, the country can't progress.
"On the occasion of 69th Republic Day of India, I thank all the soldiers, jawans working on borders day night to safeguard our nation. My greeting also to the police officials of the state", said Governor.
"Northeast is a sole part of India. Without NE's development the country can't go ahead", added Tathagata Roy.
"I came in Tripura long before 3 years and met various cultured, communities people. Tripura is also majorly shared by Bengali population and my experience in Tripura has remarked the state with unity and integrity", added Governor.
"I also tried to learn Kokborok being a Bengali but in this age I couldn't learn it fully", the Governor added.
