New Delhi, Dec 9 : Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, on Monday “interviewed” two Congress MPs who wore masks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani during a Parliament protest seeking a discussion about allegations against the Adani Group founder.
While Manickam Tagore wore a mask of Adani, Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil wore a Modi mask as Gandhi interviewed them inside the Parliament complex. In a video of the interview shared online by the Congress, Gandhi can be heard asking, “Aaj kal kya ho raha hai bhai? (What is happening these days, brother).”
Tagore, with his arm around Patil, says, “Main jo bhi bolta hun, yeh karta hai. Main kuch bhi chahta hun, port chahiye, airport chahiye (Whatever I say, he does. Whatever I want – airport or port).” Gandhi then asks, “What are you asking for next?”
To this, Tagore says, “We have a meeting in the evening.” Gandhi then asks Tagore about their relationship, to which Tagore says, “We are the same. We will do everything together… We have been together for years.” Gandhi then asks Tagore, who is dressed as Adani, why he (Modi) is not letting Parliament run “because of him (Adani).”
