Trinamool delegation meets EC, seeks speedy bypolls in Bengal

Kolkata/New Delhi, July 15 (TIWN) A six-member Trinamool Congress delegation met the Election Commission on Thursday and urged it to conduct bypolls in six vacant West Bengal Assembly seats at the earliest.
A delegation of West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is slated to meet the EC here tomorrow to press the demand for holding elections in the vacant seats at the earliest. Seven Assembly seats, including five in which byelections are due, are lying vacant in West Bengal.
