AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): At the onset of rainy season, pedestrians and two wheeler riders have been facing difficulties for a long time due to waterlogging in the streets at Thakurpalli area, West Pratapgarh.
Talking to the local people and pedestrians it is known for a long time the streets remain in terrible condition as several potholes have formed in the street at West Pratapgarh, Thakurpalli area, Ward No-41. Due to no drainage system in the area during the rainy season water logs in the area results pedestrians, local people and bike riders are facing difficulties while crossing the road.
Many times local people of the area raised the issue to Ward and the concerned department but while it comes to repair the road the department moved away from repairing it. Locals said since last 3-4 years the Ward No-41 Thakurpalli road of West Pratapgarh area remains same.
A vehicle driver with huge resentment said in front of the media that while he was crossing the road with his vehicle, it had stopped in the middle of the road as water barge into his car. Not only that, a bike rider resented that while he was moving with his bike, 5Kg lentil fell on the water and wasted the lentil.
The terrible condition of the street has been experienced by locals and regular pedestrians, and despite being repeatedly informed to the concerned departments the street has not been repaired, complaints local people. Later, the people of the area and pedestrians said this in detail in front of the media.
