House looted twice in a Month at Belonia : Debt ridden Man's land-selling money taken away

BELONIA (South Tripura), May 10 (TIWN): The incident of burglary in a same house twice in a month has created panic in local's minds. Despite informing the Belonia police and administration, nothing is happening. The incident took place in Amtali area of Belonia under Bharatchandra Nagar block.

The victim house owner, Amar Banik a Goldsmith by profession, his house was looted by thieves twice in a month. It is known that the man, Amar Banik lives alone in his wife as his wife passed away one and half years ago.

He was debt ridden after his daughter's marriage and old his land but that cash amount has been taken away.

It is known that unlike everyday on Monday the gold trader, Amar Banik locked his house and went to the shop. By taking the opportunity of an empty house a group of thieves raided the house and looted huge amounts of gold ornament cash, along with expensive items.

With extremely saddened the victim man said few days before he sold a plot to clear out the debt, but that amount was also stolen by thieves

When the man returned to home on Monday evening found his room's boundary tin fence was cut and windows were broken. It was immediately informed to Belonia PS, police reached to the spot but police failed to trace the thieves.

The theft incident in a row twice in a month has created panic in the area.
