Lucknow, Feb 22 (TIWN) The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has started cracking down on social media 'offenders' in a big way.
The bodies of the two girls, aged 13 and 15, were found on February 17. The users of the eight handles were booked on charges of spreading rumours with the intention of causing riots and under relevant sections of the IT Act. On Saturday, former MP Udit Raj was booked by Unnao police in the case.
