New Delhi, Nov 27 (TIWN) After hours of confrontation and talks with the farmers the Delhi Police finally on Friday afternoon allowed the farmers to enter Delhi. They will be escorted to Nirankari ground in Burari for carrying on their protests against the Centre's Farm Laws.
After hours of protest by the farmers on day two of the 'Delhi Chalo' march, the Central government agreed to allow farmers to enter the national capital and directed them to protest at the Nirankari Samagam Ground in the Burari area. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also opened a communication line with the Kisan Union leaders on the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In view of the ongoing protests, Delhi Police went on to seek permission from the Delhi government to convert as many as nine stadiums in the national capital into temporary prisons. The request was denied by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha and All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee are leading the protests and have stated that the farmers won't return until the controversial farm laws are repealed. The agitating farmers are marching towards Delhi against the controversial farm laws which they believe will reduce their earnings and make big retailers more powerful.
