BJP demands further cut in VAT on diesel, petrol in Delhi

New Delhi 30 July (TIWN) Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, here on Thursday, urged the Delhi government to reduce the value-added tax (VAT) on diesel to 12.5 per cent and petrol to 20 per cent.
Bidhuri said before Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came to power, 12.5 per cent VAT was being charged on diesel. The VAT on diesel was increased to 30 per cent and on petrol from 20 per cent to 30 per cent during the Kejriwal's rule.
