Delhi goes to polls on Feb 8, counting on Feb 11

New Delhi, Jan 6 (TIWN) The election commission on Monday announced February 8 to be the date of Delhi assembly elections. Model code of conduct comes into effect with the announcement, the EC said.
More than 1 crore 46 lakh voters are eligible to cast their ballots in the single-phase polls. The Delhi polls will be held on February 8, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said on Monday. The counting of votes will take place on February 11, Arora said. The Model Code of Conduct is applicable with immediate effect, he added.
