MUMBAI, Nov 26 (TIWN): Devendra Fadnavis has resigned as Maharashtra CM, says we don't have the numbers.
Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray had on Monday claimed the support of 162 in the 288-member assembly.
While the NCP and the Congress had been deliberating an alliance for the last three weeks and were all set to announce Thackeray’s name of as their choice for the Maharashtra CM post, the BJP lured NCP founder Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit into its fold late Friday evening. By 8 a.m. Saturday, the governor had sworn-in Fadnavis as CM and Ajit as his deputy.
