Jammu, Feb 18 (IANS) The curfew in Jammu, which was imposed on February 15, was relaxed temporarily on Monday in some parts of the city, an official said.
"Curfew has been relaxed in areas falling under police stations Gandhi Nagar (except Police Post Nehru Park and Digiana), Channi Himmat, Sainik Colony, Trikuta Nagar and Satwari (except Police Posts Belicharana and Gadighat) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., only for today," Ramesh Kumar, District Magistrate (DM), Jammu, said.
Kumar said curfew in other parts of the city will continue until further orders.
No untoward incident has so far been reported from anywhere.
The curfew was imposed after miscreants torched vehicles and damaged several others carrying number plates of the Kashmir Valley in protest against the February 14 terror attack in Pulwama that killed 49 CRPF troopers.
Mobile internet services, however, remained suspended in Jammu district for the fourth consecutive day.
