Mumbai, Nov 11 (TIWN) Taapsee Pannu is basking in the success of 'Rashmi Rocket' and the actress has wrapped up another film titled 'Shabaash Mithu', a biopic based on Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj.
Taapsee Pannu was last seen in Rashmi Rocket, which addressed the gender testing issue faced by female athletes. Now, in another sports-based film, Shabaash Mithu,Taapsee is ready to tell the story of cricketer Mithali Raj. A former cricketer, Mithali led the Indian Women's Cricket team in two World Cups, in the years 2005 and 2017. She announced her retirement from cricket in 2019, after completing 20 years in the game. On November 9, Taapsee announced that she has wrapped up the shoot of Shabaash Mithu. She wrote, “8 ki thi jab kisi ne ek Sapna dikhaya tha, ki ek din ayega jab Cricket sirf gentleman’s game nahi hoga. Humaari bhi ek team hogi, ek pehchaan hogi.. ‘Women in Blue’ Aa rahe hai hum.
