Durga Puja ends in Bengal with Sidoor Khela, idol immersion on Vijaya Dashami

KOLKATA, Oct 8 (TIWN): Emotional devotees paid a teary-eyed farewell, as idols of goddess Durga and her children were immersed in rivers, lakes, ponds and other waterbodies across West Bengal, marking the end of eastern india's biggest socio-religious carnival on Tuesday.
The banks of the Ganga and other water bodies wore a festive look as people from all walks of life joined in the colourful immersion processions, to the accompaniment of 'dhak' (drums), band parties as also music played by DJs.
