New Delhi, Aug 12 (TIWN): You've probably heard it a million times from your friends, older sister, and even doctors: always pee after having sex, or else you're at risk for getting a urinary tract infection, or UTI.
But according to Dr. Tanaka Dune, urogynecologist and assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian, there's no concrete scientific evidence that there even is a significant link between UTIs and whether you urinate before or after intercourse. Which means that while it's totally cool if you pee after having penetrative sex, there's a good chance it’s not really doing much besides alleviating your bladder.
