Mumbai, June 22 (TIWN) A security personnel strictly followed protocol by asking Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone for her identity proof at the entry point of the airport here.

As per reports, the incident happened when the actress was jetting off to Bengaluru with her dad Prakash Padukone. It seems as Deepika was making her way inside the airport along with her father, a security guard at the terminal asked to see the actress' identification proof. The actress then politely turned back and asked 'chahiye', after which she took out her ID to show the guard. While many appreciated the guard for doing his duty, netizens were not too happy with Deepika's response. They took to social media to criticise her for purportedly having a 'VVIP' attitude and for not adhering to basic rules in the first place. Many trolled her for asking the guard if he required to see her ID proof.
