TIWN
New Delhi, May 29 (TIWN); Depending on where you live in the country, the bank holiday weekend was either frustratingly warm but dull, or a complete washout with downpours of rain. But those days are over, my friends, as the weekend ahead of us is predicted to be full of sunshine, FINALLY.
If you're anything like me, you'll have been making constant comments about how crap this year's weather has been in comparison to last year, when we may as well have been living in the Costa del Sol between May and September. It's been a great big disappointment, basically. But with news that the heatwave we've been promised is finally on its way this weekend, my spirits have been lifted and so might yours.
According to the Met Office, London is expected to see temperatures of 26 to 27°C, with "sunny clear skies" to boot. That's hotter than it'll be in Ibiza, just FYI, where it'll reach just 24°C on the thermometer. Overall, the weather is set to be "increasingly warm and humid" in the south. Just the weather you need for a trip to your local lido.
