NEW DELHI, May 26 (TIWN): Deepika Singh made a comeback to the small screen with Ekta Kapoor’s Kavach 2. The actress is resuming to work post maternity break. On the show, Deepika will be seen essaying the role of Sandhya, which was also her screen name in Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Now, a source close to the show told us that Deepika's character of Sandhya has a lot of dance sequences in the serial. The actress will be seen doing classical dance now and then. Well, it’s her quality of dance that persuaded Ekta to choose her for the project. The source added that Ekta has watched her performance on social media and the TV Czarina was highly impressed. That’s how she decided to finalise the actresss as the main lead for Kavach 2.
