New Delhi, May 16 (TIWN): There are many films about war and the valour of the army, however, Aaryan Saxena’s directorial debut, Fauji Calling, aims to tell the story of the families of the soldiers who are martyred, their challenges they face and what all battles they fight. The film stars Sharman Joshi, Ranjha Vikram Singh, Bidita Bag, Mugdha Godse, and Zarina Wahab.
The team recently kickstarted shooting of the film in Jharkhand, Ranchi, and also celebrated Ranjha Vikram Singh’s birthday on the set. Here are a few behind the scene images from the first schedule.
When the film was announced, Sharman had shared how he was truly happy to be a part of such an important film. He has shared, “Fauji Calling is a film, I am really excited about. Its a celebration or the acknowledgement of what the soldier contributes to our country and in effect, what would a soldier would expect from the society towards him and his family. This is the script that I am really looking forward to work on and I am glad that we are now very close to start working on it.”
Ranjha Vikram shared Sharman’s sentiment as said, “I chose to do Fauji Calling because during my school days, whenever anyone used to ask that what I want to become in life, I used to say I want to join Indian Army and be a soldier. I grew up watching Sylvester Stallon movies. When Aaryaan narrated me his fantastic script, I felt emotional. Indian Army is according to me the best foot soldiers in the world. They are strong and very daring. God is kind that I got this kind of role in my career.”
Fauji Calling has been produced by Ovez productions, Ojas Motion Pictures and Running Horses Studios Pvt Ltd.
