She has been officially crowned as Miss India Sikkim 2019 in an event on April 23 at Kolkata to represent the State in her dream event of fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019 to be held in June at Mumbai.

 

Tamang was mentored by a Gangtok-based event organizer, Positude. She finished Miss Sikkim 2018 organized by Positude in top five. She took part in the Miss India North East round held last month at Guwahati along with other four contestants from Sikkim and shortlisted to represent Sikkim in the grand finale of fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019
