Los Angeles, Jan 14 (TIWN / IANS) "Downton Abbey" star Allen Leech married American actress Jessica Blair Herman in a star-studded ceremony here.

The 37-year-old married Herman, 32, on January 5 at Alisal Ranch and Resort in California's Santa Ynez Valley, reported dailymail.co.uk. 

Some guests who were a part of the ceremony were "Downton" co-stars Michelle Dockery and Dan Stevens and his "Bohemian Rhapsody" co-star Rami Malek, while "Glee" star Lea Michele and Darren Criss performed at the party.

The Irish actor, who played Freddie Mercury's manager and boyfriend Paul Prenter in the Queen biopic, admitted he would never forget the moment he laid eyes on his wife as she walked down the aisle.

He told Hello! magazine: "That moment of seeing Jessica, oh my God, it was magical. It will stay with me forever."

The couple had envisaged a sun-kissed wedding for their California ceremony, which was officiated by Herman's mother, but they ended up having heavy rainfall on the day.

Leech and Herman suffered a setback when the string quartet they had hired could not perform due to the rain.
