Mumbai, Jan 8 (TIWN / IANS) Actress Kirtida Mistry has been roped in to play Chitrangada, a princess from Manipur, in the show "Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha".
"Historical figures have always excited me. Like every girl, even I like to be dressed like a princess way back to that era where costumes and jewellery were shiny and heavy," Kirtida said in a statement.
"Even the costumes are nice and vibrant in colour. My character Chitrangada is the princess of Manipur. She is extremely pretty, innocent yet smart and strong. She is a positive character. I have started shooting for the episode," she added.
Personally, she likes historical and mythological shows.
"Their grandeur and minute details of each and everything is commendable," said the actress, who has featured in shows like "Piya Rangrezz" and "Kaun Hai?"
Produced by Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvej, the show presents different stories each week.
The main plot remains the tussle between the good and the evil by showcasing the quest of the intelligent King Vikramaditya to find the wise ghost Betaal as challenged by evil Bhadrakaal.
